Originator of La Picosa Jewelry, Portland mixed-media artist Michelle
Rajotte grew up amidst the
reflected starlight of Hollywood. She graduated with a BFA from Otis/Parsons School of Design.
True to her peripatetic gypsy soul, Michelle discovered her calling after moving north to Portland:
she runs a thriving family photography business that specializes in creating heirlooms for present
and future generations of her clients.
Later, discovering a process that combines glass craftwork and photography, she launched La Picosa
funky jewelry. Over the past two years, women who are setting trends, not following them, have been
clamoring for her work, from Seattle to San Diego.
Why wear the same thing everyone else is wearing this season when you can wear La
Picosa?
